Diane Garrow is the Unrestricted Sponsored Programs Manager in the Office of Technology and Economic Development at Michigan Tech. Her primary responsibility is managing and administering corporate contributions with a particular emphasis on proper handling of those designated student design, research-related, and in-kind. Diane works with faculty and staff across campus, including contract administrators, student project advisors, researchers from individual departments and research units, and Research and Sponsored Programs, as well as corporate representatives, managing the needs and interests of all these parties to insure that contributions provide the maximum benefit to campus and to the contributor while assuring compliance with policies and regulations.
From 1986 to 1998, she served the Chemical Engineering Department as Departmental Coordinator, adding the role as an academic requirement advisor during the last two years. Before coming to Michigan Tech in 1984 in the Advancement area, supporting functions associated with the Michigan Tech Fund, she was Parent Coordinator for the B-H-K Child Development Board.
